SWK-13: Solar Wind Hybrid

The SWK-13 is one of our solar and wind hybrid pre-engineered renewable energy kits. It consists in solar panels and micro wind turbines to maximize all natural resources. Ideal for locations where there is a stable wind current with an average wind speed of 7.5mph to 28mph. A wind speed of 12mph is the minimum starting velocity needed to run the turbine (we recommend 15mph as the minimum).

Covers the electric energy needed to preserve food and medications, provide means of communication, lights and sufficient energy to power a laptop and television. This system can sustain 3.6kWh (look at chart 1) of daily energy, or the following devices during a day:

 Add-ons for the SWK-13 include:
  • Choose between Flooded or AGM type batteries, hardware is included.
  • Higher capacity power inverter (either pure or modified sine wave).
  • Solar panel extension, comes with PV cables.
  • Wind turbine extension
  • Pre-wired solar component with a plug-and-play type control enclosure

We recommend a minimum 315Ah – 420Ah battery bank for enough energy storage to last one day without charging the batteries and not discharging them more than 50%.
